The short version: We collect as little data as possible. Our apps are designed to work offline and store your data on your device. We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
This Privacy Policy explains how 10 Buck Apps ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website (10buckapps.com) and our mobile applications (collectively, the "Services"). Please read this policy carefully. By using our Services you agree to the practices described here.
01 Who We Are
10 Buck Apps is an independent software publisher. We build affordable, one-time-purchase mobile applications. You can reach us at:
- Website: 10buckapps.com
- Email: privacy@10buckapps.com
02 Information We Collect
On our website
When you visit 10buckapps.com we may collect:
- Contact form submissions — name, email address, and the message you write. This is submitted voluntarily and used only to respond to you.
- App request submissions — name, email, phone number (optional), the URL of the app you're requesting, and your feedback comments.
- Basic server logs — IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. These are retained for security and diagnostic purposes only.
In our mobile apps
Our apps are designed to be offline-first. By default:
- All data you enter (workouts, notes, budgets, etc.) is stored locally on your device.
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not transmit your personal data to our servers during normal app use.
App-specific data — 6 Week Fit
6 Week Fit may access the following on your device, solely to provide app features:
- Health & fitness data — workout logs, progress records, and body metrics you manually enter. This data stays on your device unless you explicitly export it.
- Apple Health / Google Fit integration (optional) — if you grant permission, the app may read or write workout data to Apple Health or Google Fit. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device Settings.
- Camera / media library (optional) — only if you choose to add a profile photo. Images are stored locally.
- Notifications (optional) — local push notifications for workout reminders. No data leaves your device for this purpose.
Automatically collected technical data
Our apps may collect anonymous crash reports and performance diagnostics via third-party SDKs (such as Firebase Crashlytics) to help us fix bugs. This data does not identify you personally and includes only device model, OS version, and a stack trace of the error.
03 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to contact form and app request submissions
- Provide and improve the features of our apps and website
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs (anonymous crash data only)
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling, or any automated decision-making that affects you.
04 Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers — we may use third-party tools (e.g., email delivery, crash reporting) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfer — in the event of a merger or acquisition, your information would transfer to the successor entity under the same privacy protections.
05 Third-Party Services
Our apps and website may interact with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Apple App Store — purchases are processed by Apple. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Google Play Store — purchases are processed by Google. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Apple Health / Google Fit — optional integration, subject to Apple's and Google's privacy policies respectively.
- Firebase Crashlytics — anonymous crash reporting by Google. See firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
We do not control these third parties and encourage you to review their policies.
06 Data Retention
Contact form and app request messages are retained only as long as necessary to respond and for reasonable follow-up. Anonymous crash logs are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion of any personal information you submitted to us by contacting privacy@10buckapps.com.
Data stored locally on your device (app data) is under your full control. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
07 Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request that inaccurate information be corrected
- Deletion — request that your personal information be deleted
- Restriction — request that we limit how we use your information
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Opt-out of sale — we do not sell personal information, so this right is satisfied by default
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@10buckapps.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information and do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent (for contact form submissions) and our legitimate interest (for crash diagnostics). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
08 Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@10buckapps.com and we will delete it promptly.
For apps rated for general audiences in the App Store or Google Play, health and fitness data is entered manually by the user and stored only on-device.
09 Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. App data stored on your device is protected by your device's built-in security (encryption at rest, passcode/biometric lock). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10 International Transfers
Our website and services are operated from the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the US, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as a notice within the app). Your continued use of the Services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
